Poem about Work: "Till Dawn"

Photo by James Sutton on Unsplash

I dreamt to work on a call center industry
Speak with foreigners fluently;
And learn the accent thoroughly,
To be able to do public speaking confidently

It's been almost two years now
Working and speaking the language,
I'm getting used to the English accent.
Part of me has loved it already.

But still a voice within utters something;
"Continue your dream profession"
And that is to be a medical practitioner
An internal medicine that cures people.

I've realized I'm still stuck in this field,
Taking calls and exhausting eyes on a screen.
Being a call center is not an easy job,
To work till dawn to make a living.
