A Poem about Boredom

All day long in an empty room
Isolated from the outside
Incarcerated by his own fears
I wonder how prisoners live,
In a four corner prison cell.
Life must be so boring,
Hopeless and depressing.
I wonder how birds feel,
Living in captivity in a small cage.
Can’t fly high beneath the clouds
Unable to see the world above.
So if I will live my life as captive
Alone in this empty dark room
I’d rather die than suffer from it
Perhaps, life’s sweeter in second life.
But make sure I won’t feel pain.
Nor suffer from its misery
Make it as lethal as possible
Making me sleep forever at peace.
